Following a tour of the Lantic Rogers Sugar factory in Taber, I designed an infographic that visualized the full processing journey of sugar beets—from their arrival at the facility to the final packaged product. Inspired by Rube Goldberg-style diagrams, the design translates a complex industrial process into an engaging, playful and easy-to-follow visual narrative.

After compiling notes from the tour, I conducted additional research to ensure accuracy in depicting the sugar beet refining process. I then determined the key information that was needed to explain the entire process, and sketched out machinery I had remembered seeing from the tour. Sketches were brought to life in Illustrator and I experimented with layout and flow to guide readers through the six main production stages.
